BOOTMGR is a short form of Windows Boot Manager which is a small piece of software and is responsible to load and read configuration file of Operating System. BOOTMGR is loaded from volume to read the configuration of the Windows system. It is most important to run our system.
How to fix BOOTMGR Missing error?
Here we are going to describe the complete method to resolve the BOOTMGR Missing error. So if you read these steps carefully you can fix it.
Method 1: Using Command Prompt.
Step#1: Insert Windows installation or Repair disk into your computer and reboot the system by pressing CTRL+ALT+DELETE key. Now, you’ll be prompted to “press any key to boot from disk”. So press any key and go ahead.
Step#2: You’ll see the screen of windows installation wizard. Select language, time and keyboard and press Next.
Step#3: Now you’ll see an option “Repair your computer”. Click on it.
Step#4: Choose your operating system from below and click on Next Button.
Step#5: Now choose an option “command prompt”.
Step#6: Now, You’ll have to enter following commands in command prompt respectively.
- bootrec /fixboot
- bootrec /RebuildBCD
Now the error of your computer has been fixed. if it is not fixed then you can try the second method given below.
Method 2: Using Startup Repair Tool.
Step#1: This error message generally appears when we start the computer. After error message, insert windows installation media into computer and press CTRL+ALT+DELETE to restart the computer.
Step#2: Now restart your PC and go to BIOS Setting choose installation media at first boot.
Note:The key to getting into the boot menu varies from the different computer. Usually, it’s F2, F8, F10, F12, Esc or Del. If you are not sure, You can consult the manufacturer of your PC.
Step#3: When you see a black screen saying Press any key to boot from CD or DVD, press Enter on your keyboard.
Step#4: Now, select Your language, time and Keyboard and click on Next.
Step#5: Click “Repair your computer“.
Step#6: Click on Startup Repair.
Now, it will scan your computer for any startup errors.
Step#7: Click on “Finish”. Now Your Computer has been successfully repaired.
